Gifts of Knowledge

Shaikh ’Uthaimeen, may Allaah have mercy on him, said, “The Month of Allaah, al-Muḥarram, is the one between [the month of] Dhul-Hijjah and Ṣafar, about which the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said, ‘… the most excellent fast after (fasting) in the month of Ramadan is the fast in Allaah’s Month of al-Muharram …,’ and it is established that one should fast on [the Day ofʿĀshūrā which is] the 10^th [of Muḥarram which corresponds to Tue. 16^th July 2024], or the 9^th and the 10^th [Mon. 15^th and Tue. 16^th July 2024], or the 9^th, 10^th and 11^th [Mon. 15^th, Tue. 16^th and Wed. 17^th July 2024].”
