“ʿAṣim ibn Ḥumaid said, ‘I heard Muʿādh say:

‘You will see nothing in this dunyā except trials and fitnah.

And things will only get worse.

You will not see anything except harshness from the Amirs. And you will not come across an intense, frightening issue except that something even more severe than it will come along and make it seem insignificant.’’”
