ʿAlī bin Abī Ṭālib said, “One of the most beloved things to Allaah that a person can say is:

رَبِّ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِي، فَاغْفِرْلِي
Rabbi ẓalamtu nafsī, faghfirlī.
‘O Allah! I have wronged myself so forgive me!’

when in prostration.”

Ṣaḥīḥ | Mā Ṣaḥḥa min Āthāriṣ-Ṣaḥābati fil-Fiqh, vol. 3, p. 402.
